Who Are We?

The Barrie Yacht Club was registered in 1952 as a "Not for Profit Social Club".  Our objective is to encourage building of yachts, to encourage sailing among amateurs and to promote water safety and fellowship among those interested in these sports.  Members assist in the management and upkeep of the club, as we are a volunteer-based organization.  While all members initially joined the club to spend time on the water, we have also discovered an extended family on the docks and the clubhouse grounds.  Working together gives us an appreciation for what a jewel of a place we have.

Please visit the reciprocals information page for details on the priviliges extended to members of clubs to share our facilities and enjoy our fellowship at the Barrie Yacht Club.
